A recent report produced by Stoney Stanton Parish Council has been published on their website. It covers recent flooding in the local area that occurred between 29th December 2023 and 2nd January 2024.

As some of you may be aware there were nearly 30 houses flooded in the village on the 1st October 2019 seeing families forced out of there homes living in hotel rooms and rented properties over Christmas and the New Year. Many of which still are a long way off moving back in.
Having carried out reviews of the water course it is seemingly inadequate and poorly maintained and we are now on a long road to try and put this right and hold various government bodies accountable for their duties.
